Really pleased with the color intensity of this piece when printed! Now up on etsy.
Aghh, I can’t wait until I can actually share some finished works and not just warm-up sketches! In the meantime, have some more digital experimentation - this time with 2 different charcoal brushes.
I’m not even going to tell you the catcalls I received in Manhattan when I lived there. It’s a shitty thing. If you are a lady chances are you know what it’s like to walk down the street and feel afraid of every dude you see thinking “is that guy on the corner going to say some shit to me? Please dude, do not say anything to meeee.” Anyway if you don’t know what it’s like to be harassed whenever you leave the house, here is an excellent article where women talk about that: http://rookiemag.com/2012/05/it-happens-all-the-time/
Catcalling is awful, and if you’re not aware of how awful it is (or could do with some reminding that you’re not alone in finding it awful/experiencing it/etc), check out the article.
Melty Pencil Woman - Warm-up in MyPaint
Yesterday I cleaned the first half of the studio closet. As promised, here is the second half, unfucked without excuses.
I removed all of the hanging costume pieces (there are still several tubs of costumery, but that’s okay because it’s contained and not interfering with studio storage) and put them in the front room coat closet. I also removed a few small boxes from the open tub which contained assorted unrelated nonsense. I redistributed the tub stacking so I can use the flat space on the far right when I move more stuff into the closet. I also moved some portfolios into the top which I had in the main studio before.
Not pictured: my now slightly-more-fucked studio. I suppose I will be getting to main studio unfucking sooner rather than later!
Successful SpaceX Launch
In case anyone missed it and/or needs a good morning cry. Not that I did any such thing, there’s just something caught in both of my eyes.
Kitchen Unfuckery
I unfucked my kitchen a week and a half ago, but I didn’t get around to taking after pictures until today.
Before:

The liquid measure in the middle of the floor was 1:1 water and vinegar which I heated in the microwave - I had had the windows open and my downstairs neighbor was smoking -_-;

After:

The crockpot is out because it’s in use. The shelf isn’t perfect (I haven’t dealt with the middle-right’s shoebox of assorted objects), and I still have the pile of boxes/etc which I might use for crafting purposes. Worry not, they will be discarded reasonably quickly if not used from this point.

Bonus: I organized one of my cabinets! Happy spices, contained baking supplies, and orderly vitamins/etc.

Not pictured: fridge and pantry were both unfucked as well.
Remaining cabinetry and drawers are not pared down or particularly pretty, but they’re not horribly bogged down with unnecessary stuff either. I may give them an unfucking when everything else is in lovely order. Thanks for helping me to get my ducks in a row, UfYH!
